#1 Chicken and Soccer

1. Peers:
Peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, bread and butter are perfect matches. Do you know what else is a perfect match? Chicken and Soccer. Maybe you didn't know that Chickens love to play soccer but they do. They can't get enough! Chickens are born into this world as naturally talented soccer players, if they practice they will get even better, but if they don't they usually loose their talent all together. Because chickens are all the same species they carry the same genes. Not all Chickens are the same, but every Chicken is born with the gene that makes them taste good and makes them fantastic soccer players. They are born with this gene because back in the 1970's scientists were experimenting with gene chips and the first animal to be tested with these gene chips were chickens. Scientists wanted to start slowly because they weren't sure of the effects of the chips. They decided to inject the chickens with soccer talent chips. The chips worked perfectly except that they are not permanent solutions. After this experiment the genes from the chickens were passed down generation after generation and now almost every chicken you will see can play a great game of soccer.
2. My Grandparents:
In 1970 a team of leading scientist made one of the most amazing discoveries. They had created a gene chip. A gene chip is something you inject into a brain and it will permanently distribute that gene in the brain. At first the scientists were sceptical and didn't want to try the first gene chip on a human. They decided one of the best animals to test on was a chicken because it has tough skin and can feel very little pain. Next the scientists needed to decide what kind of gene to put into the chicken. The scientists voted, and in the end came up with the decision to insert a soccer talent gene into the chickens. After they inserted the chips they found that the chips worked wonderfully on the chickens and that the chickens were great soccer players. But a couple of weeks after the experiment a few of the chickens stopped practicing and pretty soon lost all of their talent. The scientist are still working now to change the gene chip so you do not need to constantly practice the talent or gene you are given to keep it.
